Obsidian is a volcanic glass. It does not form slowly like most rocks. It is born at the moment when hot lava cools so rapidly that it does not have time to crystallize. The result is a material of extraordinary purity, strength, and character.

It is one of the most remarkable materials created by nature. When fractured, it can produce an edge only a few nanometers thick – so fine that it is still used today for specialized surgical blades. It is born in an instant, yet it can endure for tens of thousands of years.

When we founded Obsidian, we were looking for a name that would capture the essence of our work. We design and implement systems where two materials born in fire meet - glass and aluminum. Materials that combine technical precision with timeless aesthetics and will continue to serve for generations.
